From Sidi Ibrahim Kaulahi, in Gusau

The Zamfara State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, has entered  into a pact with AGILE to explore better ways to improve education in the state.

At the parley which was chaired by the state Commissioner for Education, Hon. Abdulmalik Abubakar Gajam, he said the engagement was aimed at providing an opportunity to review achievements, identify areas requiring greater attention, and strengthen coordination to ensure that AGILE continues to deliver meaningful outcomes for adolescent girls across Zamfara State.

“I commend the State Coordinator, Hajiya Sa’adatu Abdu Gusau, and the entire AGILE team for their commitment and the progress recorded so far. I encouraged them to remain focused, innovative, and results-oriented as we continue working together to expand access to quality education and create better opportunities for every girl child.

“Our collective commitment to girls’ education remains unwavering because investing in their future is investing in the sustainable development of Zamfara State”.

The meeting aimed at strengthening girls education initiatives; discussed ongoing efforts to review the progress and strengthening collaboration between the Ministry and the Project Implementation Unit, and identifying strategies to increase girls’ enrollment, retention, and completion of education in the state.

The Commissioner reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting the successful implementation of the AGILE Project and emphasized the importance of sustained partnership in addressing barriers to girls’ education.

Earlier, the AGILE State Coordinator, Hajiya Sa’adatu Abdu Gusau expressed appreciation for the Ministry’s continued support and highlighted the project’s achievements aimed at expanding access to quality education for girls throughout the state.

The meeting ended with a renewed commitment towards advancing inclusive and equitable education, ensuring that more girls in Zamfara State have access to safe, quality, and life-changing learning opportunities.
