From Sidi Ibrahim Kaulahi, Gusau
The Zamfara wing of Matawalle Political Standing Committee (MPSC) has lauded the efforts of the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Mohammed Matawalle been displayed in political acumen, experience and exhibition of his decades in active politics as he facilitated the immediate return of 8 serving House of Assembly members who recently renounced their membership with the ruling APC in the state.
This was communicated in a statement by the state MPSC Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris Gusau, saying the mobilisation and return back to the APC of all the eight Zamfara State House of Assembly members who already made declaration to dump the APC for another party is a clear increase in membership which is one of the aims of party success in elections.
“No party can accept lost of eight of its serving members of the state assembly to the opposition at this critical time that all parties are preparing to partake in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
“Their return has boosted the party’s chances of winning all elective positions in the state, ranging from President, Governor, National and state assemblies. It is a well known fact that in politics, people are scouted for and mobilised to the fold for the greater interest.
“This, indeed is one of the attributes that have continued to draw more interested personalities and electorate to the APC and which has made the party more formidable especially as we head towards another election circle giving more possibilities and prospects for President Tinubu’s re-election and Governor Dauda lawal as well as all other party candidates.
“We are appealing to all other critical stakeholders, especially those with same status as the Minister’s to emulate this political strategy of uniting and mobilising party supporters into one family that can stand any election with the full assurance of winning. We commend the ministers zeal and patriotism which clearly shows his full sportsmanship to the party”, the statement has solicited.
