The deployment of personnel by the EFCC and ICPC to the sunshine state is aimed at curbing vote buying and other financial inducement in the governorship election.

This was confirmed by the Ondo State Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC,  Mrs Oluwatoyin Babalola while speaking with newsmen at the INEC office in Akure on Friday .

Babalola disclosed that over thirty thousand security officers have also been deployed to ensure smooth conduct of the election.

INEC, according to the Resident Electoral Commissioner, has deployed four thousand and two (4,002) Bimodal Voter Accreditation Systems while 812 were reserved to address  emergencies.

She further stated that the commission has embarked on aggressive voter education across all the political wards across the state to enable eligible voters exercise their franchise.

Also speaking in the same vein, the Director of Welfare of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Mr Ayodele Omotade said two thousand three hundred (2,300) Corps members have been adequately trained on rules and regulations guiding election conduct .

Already, security has been beefed up around Ondo State INEC headquarters in Alagbaka area of Akure, while security personnel are conducting thorough check on vehicles and individuals to gain access to the area.
