Kasham Girls, Women, Youth and Community Development Initiative (KGWYCDI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Nigeria Institute of Transportation Technology (NITT) Zaria to equip youths with marketable skills to help them become self-reliant.
Speaking to newsmen during a visit to the Institute on Tuesday, in Zaria, Kaduna, the Executive Director of KGWYCDI, Dinatu Dama Maji explained that the meeting was aimed at building synergy with the federal institution to improve the quality of living for young people through Economic Empowerment which is the major thematic area.
She said that the MoU will cement an amazing partnership that will make a massive impact in Nigeria, thereby building youths with the right marketable skills that can help them to become self-reliant.
She said, “NITT, a transportation technology institution, saddled with the responsibility of training and educating young people into transport experts was delighted to have us and is open to having a collaboration with us in thematic areas that we share in common.
“The purpose of the visit is to have a robust understanding of the courses and some innovations that can bring the NGo and the institution together with the sole objective of impacting youths in the 19 northern states where the NGo Kasham Girls Women Youth and Community Development Initiative operates.
“For us at Kasham Girls, Women, Youth, and Community Development, we are standing strong, steadfast, and unmovable in our strive to see to the improvement, growth, and great increase in the quality of lives of young people, and we won’t stop making moves that will bring to the growth and development of lives of youth either through partnerships or collaboration with different institutes and parastatals until our vision and mission is attained.”
Speaking on behalf of the Director General of the Institute, the Deputy DG Mr Engr. Nduka Kanyine Godwin expressed his gratitude for being recognized as the right institution for the partnership and promised to deliver the best in empowering the Youths.
