From Femi Mustapha, in Kaduna

The Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Kaduna State Council has expressed dismay over the gruesome murder of a student of the Technical College, Malali whose body was found around the college premises.

This was according to a statement by Gambo Santos Sanga (Kakakin-Ninzo) Council Secretary made available to news in Kaduna today (Sunday).

The Union urged the State Government to, in the interest of justice, set up a probe panel to unravel the circumstances that led to the gruesome killing of the student as well as bring the perpetrators to book.

The statement described the ugly incident as unfortunate, unacceptable, and condemnable by every right-thinking individual.

It was gathered that the body of the deceased student was discovered within the school premises with physical signs of brutalization and strangulation a situation that calls for serious concern.

“The deceased student was a gentle and dedicated student of the Government Technical College, as attested by his father, Comrade Musa Mohammed, who is a practicing Journalist based in Kaduna.

According to the statement, the deceased student, Ahmed Musa was full of life until the discovery of his lifeless body, hence the urgent need for the government and relevant security agencies to swing into action to uncover those behind the dastardly act.

The Council, however, commiserates with the family of the slain student, the school authority, and the Kaduna State Government over the unfortunate incident,

The deceased student, Ahmed Musa, was until his demised dedicated and disciplined SS2 student of the Government Technical College, Kajuru, before the government decision to move students from the school to Government Technical College Malali in Kaduna due to security concerns.
