NSCDC smashes 3-man syndicate of drugs dealers in Zamfara

The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has successfully arrested a 58 year old hard drugs dealer identified as Mr. Emmanuel Okonkwo while his two accomplices identified as Yellow and Saddeeq were  declared at large.

Parading the suspect on Monday at Command’s headquarters in Gusau, the head of Command’s Public Relations, ASCI Umar Mohamad M. said both -3-Man syndicate are the indegenes of Birnin Magaji local government area of Zamfara State.
The seized exhibits
ASCI Mohammad disclosed that, the principal suspect, Mr. Emmanuel and the two other suspects, operate a shop at Bakin Tasha in Birnin Magaji under the disguise of a chemist where Physicians’ Referral Drugs are being sold.
“Through his confession to the department of Intelligence, the suspect Mr. Emmanuel Okonkwo stated the two further accomplices in one Yellow and Sadiq (at large) both indigenes of Birnin Magaji, but  they do their activities in Kaduna State and Malele village of Dansadau, Zamfara State respectively.
“The suspect does his unlawful business in Birnin Magaji for over 20years being the owner of a chemist, confessing to conspiring with Yellow and Sadiq to selling hard substances,
“The suspected items discovered in his possession included the 112 packs of Cannabis (Weed, Marijuana), ⁠Exol 5 – 2 leathers of 500 pcs each and 160pcs amounting to a total of 1160pcs, others were 12 sachets of 225mg and two sachets of 50mg ⁠Tramadol and 133 packets of Diazepam of D10 tabs.
“In fairness, transparency and collaboration with sister agencies, the state commandant, CC Sani Mustapha has directed the immediate transfer of the latter to National Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation and necessary actions.
“The NSCDC is uncompromising and has zero tolerance for criminality and any unethical vices the federation term unruly, any suspect apprehended shall face astute investigation and upon completion, brought to justice”, ASCI Umar has reiterated.
