The Katsina State Government has approached investors across the globe to come and invest in the State for economic and social development.
The Katsina Governor, Malam Dikko Umar Radda, represented by his Deputy, Malam Faruk Kawal Jobe made the pledge at the CIAN Africa Investment Summit organized in Paris, France.
The delegation which was led by the Deputy Governor, Malam Jobe on behalf of Governor, engaged with world investors and held high-level discussions aimed at attracting sustainable investments into the state.
At the round table, the Deputy Governor, showcased the state’s economic potentials in different sectors which include mineral resources, agriculture, skills development, climate change, education among others.
Malam Lawal Jobe explained that these sectors have strong potential for job creation and industrial expansion.
In a remarkable achievement, the delegation successfully established five business-to-business partnerships.
“These partnerships focused on sustainable agricultural practices aimed to enhance food security, develop solid minerals, strengthen skills training, transfer technology, and improve transportation for students, public servants and farmers,” the deputy governor said.
The delegation also held a productive meeting with the Finland Embassy where the parties agreed to explore strategic cooperation focused on agri-business development, youth and women empowerment, and skills acquisition, where modern farming and vocational training initiatives will be explored.
According to the Deputy Governor, “Katsina is always at the forefront in positioning itself as an investment-ready destination. It is committed to inclusive growth and sustainable development.”
The delegation to Paris included Economic Adviser Khalil Nur Khalil, Lead Consultant Harun Abba Gana, Commissioner of Commerce Hon. Bishir Yusuf Jirdede, Director General of Katsina State Investment Promotion Agency Alhaji Ibrahim Tukur Jikamshi, and Executive Secretary of Katsina State Development Management Board Malam Mustapha Shehu.
