From Femi Mustapha, in Kaduna
The Kaduna South Local Government has launched a toll-free health complaint and feedback line, aimed at improving primary healthcare delivery in the area.
The line was launched during a one-day public town hall meeting on health, which also marked the formal welcome of NYSC medical doctors to the Local Government’s Primary Health Care Centres.
Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Hon. Rayyan Hussein, said the toll-free line would serve as a direct channel for citizens to report emergencies, raise concerns, and provide feedback on the performance of PHCs.
He urged the NYSC doctors to serve with passion, empathy, and professionalism, noting that their presence would reinforce the frontline health workforce.
Hussein appreciated the Kaduna State Government for its SUSTAIN Agenda, which guides the Local Government’s reforms and investments in health, education, and human capital. He also thanked development partners, civil society stakeholders, and health authorities for their support.
The Chairman assured the people of Kaduna South that the Local Government would continue to work towards providing quality healthcare, including maternity kits, strengthening drug supply, digitizing inventory systems, and improving health facility infrastructure.
