From Divine Macaulay, in Kaduna

The Binawa Community Development Association (BIDA) has expressed worry over the recent attack that occurred in the early hours of today, Wednesday, in Kauru Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

This was contained in a statement signed by the National President of BIDA, Mr. Istifanus Danjuma Makoshi, and made available to the media.

The statement stated that the frequent attacks in Kauru LGA are deeply concerning and alarming, thereby demanding a stronger commitment from the government to protect lives and property.

Mr Istifanus explained that the attack took place between 2:00 AM and 3:30 AM, and this resulted in the brutal killing of one Mr. Mani Ali Maikomo and the abduction of five other people. Namely, Mr. Dauda Danjuma Makoshi, Mrs. Kande Dauda Makoshi Village Head Mazuga Sale, Paul Musa Gombe, and Mr Solomon Jonah Dangata Binawa were able to escape with injuries.

He stressed that this act of violence is not just an attack on the victims and their families but on the peace and stability of the entire Binawa community.

“BIDA calls on the Kaduna State Government, security agencies, and all relevant authorities to take urgent and decisive action to secure the immediate and safe release of those abducted, bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice, increase security presence in Binawa and other vulnerable communities to prevent further attacks.

“Our heartfelt condolences go to the family of Mr. Mani Ali Maikomo, and we stand in solidarity with all those affected. Also, we pray for the swift recovery of Mr. Solomon Jonah and the safe return of the kidnapped individuals.

” The Binawa Community Development Association remains committed to advocating for peace, security, and justice for our people.

“We urge all community members to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies in efforts to restore peace,” he said.
