Twelve (12) instructors in Katsina Youth Craft Village (KYCV) have successfully earned certification from the Digital Skills Trainer, issued by the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria) (CPN), after undergoing rigorous professional test and examination.
This is contained in a statement issued by Malam Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the Chief Press Secretary (CPS ), to Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umar Radda to Citizenship Daily on Monday.
The CPS said that the certification is part of effort to the Continuing Professional Development Initiative aimed at strengthening digital teaching delivered by the instructors in the Centre.
Mohammed explained that the achievement was recorded due to the visionary leadership and unwavering support of the Executive Governor of Katsina State,Malam Dikko Umar Radda, whose administration placed high premium on human capital development and technical skills acquisition.
He said the management and staff of KYCV expressed profound gratitude to the Governor for sponsoring training programme initiatives which will significantly improve the Centre’s ability to deliver modern, industry-driven digital skills on youths in the state.
In a remark, the Coordinator of KYCV Engr. Kabir Abdullahi Kofar Soro noted that the certification represents a strategic investment in the Centre’s training capacity.
He said skills training thrives with constant practice by upgrading the competencies of instructors by strengthening the skills of the centre by government through ecosystem
Engr. Kofar Soro further emphasized that the continuous support from Governor Radda’s administration has placed the KYCV as a leading institution for vocational training and skills acquisition in the country.
He said, the Governor’s commitment to skills infrastructure has not only provided tools at the craft village but as well as upgraded training programmes in the institution which placed it high in the country.
The Management therefore reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the vision of the Katsina State Government by equipping young people with practical driven knowledge and remarkable technology that will enable them to become productive to the society.
The management, staff and students of Katsina Youth Craft Village, therefore, extends sincere appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Dikko Umar Radda, for his continued investment in capacity building, youth empowerment and advancement of technical and vocational education in the State.
