Mrs. Hajara Alabelewe, the wife of Alhaji Abdulgafar Alabelewe, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Kaduna State, has sadly passed away. She died in the early hours of Sunday at approximately 1 a.m. in a hospital in Kaduna after a brief illness.
The NUJ Chairman confirmed that her death was a result of Malaria fever. Until her passing, Mrs. Alabelewe was employed by the Department of State Services in Kaduna.
According to family members, Janaza (funeral) prayers will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Ansarul Islam Juma’at Mosque, located at Abakpa near Lugard Roundabout in Kaduna.
