From Femi Mustapha, in Kaduna

A young artiste, Mohammed Suleiman has promised to use his music and talents to produce songs which lyrics would promote peace and unity in the nation.

He stated this while speaking to the media in Kaduna today.

Suleiman popularly known as Machor said looking at the current challenges bedeviling the nation, music could soften hardened hearts from committing evil to showing love and peace among humanity.

The Niger state-born musician opined that “Music is a wonderful tool; it’s one of the channels to reach out to the most hardened heart because everybody loves music; every human being loves music, even God himself loves music.

“Music is a powerful tool that God has given to mankind to use as a tool to bring peace and joy into hearts.

“Because a happy mind will always think of good; a happy mind will not think of war or think of killing.

“I think music is a wonderful tool that we who are into this career who are musicians should use our god given a gift to make humanity.

“To bring peace to the country, to sing a kind of song that gladdens the heart that would make a hardened heart joyful not to begin to think of war.

“When you are happy you won’t think of harming one another; the words we use in our music should be words that would bring peace, bring unity.

“We should try as much as possible to use our music to touch lives, to make people love each other; let our messages always be of peace, love, unity.“

Machor who grew up in Abuja added that he thinks music is a wonderful tool that those who are into their career should use as their God-given gift to make humanity.

He said he drew inspiration from Nigerian music legends like 2face, D’banj, Psquare, Nazir Sarkin Waka, and Fati Niger.

“I own a studio, “City Sound,” where we collaborated with local producers and recorded numerous songs.

” In 2016, I met Licious Crackitt, producer of “King Kong,” and released my debut singles, “Reaction” and “Jijigo.” In 2022, he officially released “Kinchenchenta,” produced by Flash Sound.

Fast-forward to 2024, Machor released his debut EP, “Duniya,” a five-track project available on all streaming platforms since May 10. He’s set to drop another hit single, “Tsohuwa,” featuring Bosskid-Famouzz, on August 23.

Machor has performed in Abuja, Kaduna, Bauchi, Jos, and other states, and is now ready to take his music nationwide and beyond. When he’s not making music, he enjoys traveling and reading.

He advised musicians not to concentrate on just the sounds that would sell the music but also the words that could change lives.
