President Bola Tinubu has declared that the anti corruption fight can best be prosecuted by simply providing the needs of the people.
That way, according to him, the disturbing menace of corruption would be reduced to the barest minimum if not completely eliminated.
The President made the assertion on Monday during his first Media Chat broadcast live by all major television and radio stations across the country.
“Giving more funds to the local governments, curbing inefficiencies and loopholes in the system, removal of fuel subsidy are all anti corruption.
“We’ll reduce corruption significantly if we meet the peoples’ needs, help the people to grow, help them with the education of their children. Our students loan is anti corruption,” he said.
Tinubu also asserted that with the student loans, the Nigerian society is moving out of illiteracy to literacy.
Asked to make a projection for the coming year, the President said: “2025 is a promising year. But let me first of all thank Nigerinas for the confidence to elect me as president. It’s all about service. I seek your cooperation, I seek your understanding. I understand what you are going through. We are on the right path, well maintain focus. Let us believe in ourselves and believe in our country.”
