Femi Mustapha and Divine Macaulay, in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani has reiterated his administration’s commitment towards transparency, data-driven governance, and evidence-based policymaking in the State.

He said this during the dissemination of major reports and studies of his administration held in Kaduna today (Monday).

Gov. Sani said the reports and studies that were showcased are invaluable tools that will serve as guides as the State strives to improve the lives of every citizen in our great state.

According to him, the findings presented span across critical sectors that are central to the State’s development, saying they offer deep insights into the Governance Agenda and the major steps we have taken in crafting better policies, allocating resources efficiently, and driving sustainable development.

The Governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, highlighted the key aspects of the report including “Financial inclusion, which is not just a policy objective, but the cornerstone of our broader economic empowerment strategy.

“This report highlights our progress in ensuring that financial services are accessible to all segments of our population, particularly those in rural areas, the poor, vulnerable, and underserved.

“Through innovative solutions, we aim to bridge the financial inclusion gap, bringing banking services closer to every citizen and supporting the entrepreneurial spirit of our people.
“Understanding the demographic structure of our state is critical for planning and governance.

” The population dynamics report provides essential data on our growing population, migration patterns, and household characteristics.

” This allows us to anticipate future needs in education, healthcare, housing, and infrastructure. Armed with this data, we can allocate resources more effectively and efficiently, to ensure that no one is left behind.

“The education sector remains a top priority for our administration. The Annual School Census helps us monitor the state of our schools, including student enrollment, teacher availability, and infrastructural needs.

” With this data, we are better positioned to tackle the challenges of access and qualitative education, ensuring that every child in Kaduna State receives the education they deserve.

“Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is central to our vision for Kaduna State. The SDGs Watch tracks our progress across the 17 goals, providing us with a clear understanding of where we are succeeding and where more work is needed.

” It reminds us that sustainable development is not just about economic growth but also about equity, social inclusion, and environmental protection.
“Our healthcare initiatives, particularly the Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority (KADCHMA), have been designed to ensure that healthcare is accessible and affordable for all,” he said

Gov Sain stressed that the reports presented here today are not merely statistics and figures. They offer us the evidence the State needs to address challenges, celebrate successes, proffer solutions for identified challenges, and, most importantly, plan for a future where every citizen of Kaduna State enjoys the dividends of good governance.
