Gov Alia’s spokesman, Tersoo receives excellence award

The Chief Press Secretary to Benue State Governor, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, Sir Kula Tersoo has been conferred with a prestigious Award of Excellence by the Nigeria House of Dream Parliament, NHODP.

The award which was presented to Kula on Tuesday at Government House, Makurdi titled “Icon of Hope in Journalism in Nigeria,” is in recognition of his outstanding contributions to media professionalism and public service.

The delegation led by Comr. Hon. Mike Egilamics Egila, National Speaker of NHODP. highlighted Sir Kula’s exceptional service in shaping the public image of the Benue State Government, noting that his tenure has brought a high level of professionalism, transparency, and positive communication strategies that have benefited both the state and the broader North-Central region.

The ceremony drew top government officials who commended Sir Kula for his unwavering commitment. Among the dignitaries, Dr. Emmanuel Chenge, Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, and Dr. Aondoakaa Asambe, Director-General, Bureau for Livestock Development and Transboundary Animal Diseases Control whom described the award as a fitting recognition of his dedication and tireless work ethic.

Receiving the honour, Sir Tersoo Kula expressed deep gratitude to NHODP and dedicated the award to his boss Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia, for providing the platform and trust to serve the state in a sensitive and strategic capacity.

“This award is not just for me but for the opportunity to serve Benue State with integrity and professionalism. I am grateful to the Governor for entrusting me with this responsibility,” Kula stated.

The Nigeria House of Dream Parliament (NHODP) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) aimed at preparing, training, and educating Nigerian youths for more proactive and effective leadership responsibilities, as well as recognizing selfless service, excellence, and dedication to societal development.
