As part of the Federal Government’s efforts to address the challenges of unemployment, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has signed a partnership agreement with InnoPower Africa to connect young Nigerian professionals with remote job opportunities in Diaspora-owned businesses across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa, gave the indication, according to a statement by Mr Gabriel Odu of the Media and Public Relations and Protocols Unit at NIDCOM.

NIDCOM boss announced this at the signing ceremony of a Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with InnoPower Africa, on the sidelines of the just concluded 8th Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit in Abuja.

According to her, “NIDCOM is proud to champion this initiative that embodies our core mandate: mobilizing the Nigerian diaspora as active participants in solving our nation’s challenges”.

She added: “Nigerians abroad are employers, mentors, and champions who can directly create opportunities for their brothers and sisters at home”.

The Founder of InnoPower Africa, Emil Ekiyor, noted that Nigerian talents are world-class, innovative and ready to deliver exceptional value to businesses globally.

Mr Ekiyor maintained that the partnership agreement will really turn things around for the youths by creating practical job engagements and unlimited opportunities.

The Chairman/CEO signed on behalf of NIDCOM and Mr Ekiyor signed on behalf of InnoPower Africa.

The Signing ceremony was also witnessed by the Secretary to the Commission, Engr Dr Sule Yakubu Bassi and the Legal Advisers of the two organisations: Nigerians in Diaspora Commission(NIDCOM), and Inno Power Africa. Ends
