A former governorship aspirant in Kogi State and member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Saidu Ugonoh has said the newly elected National Chairman of APC, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda has so far demonstrated rare capacity to reposition the party ahead of the 2027 general elections through sincere engagements with all levels of the party organs conscious efforts in reconciling every aggrieved element.

In a condolence message to the APC chairman over the demise of his mother who was laid to rest last Saturday, the former Adviser to ex-Speaker of the House of Representatives on Diaspora affairs said death is a necessary end and regardless the age , the lost of a mother pierces deeply and urged the APC national chairman to take solace in the fact that his mother lived a life worthy of emulation as testimonies of her positive impacts on the lives of the less privileged and everyone that had an encounter with her abounds .

Alhaji Ugonoh who holds the traditional title of ‘Santuraki of Ebiraland’, said the APC national chairman has proven to many that leadership is requires combination of innate qualities and developed skills.

He said the chairman’s ability to motivate, adapt and build relationships that will further promote the party and Nigeria are qualities that younger politicians and leaders must imbibe for inspiration,” today mama is no-more but her imprints will remain fresh on sands of time , she gave Nigeria a worthy son.”

He said as candidate of the party for the 2023 Governorship elections in Plateau , former minister and now national chairman , professor Nentawe has shown uncommon qualities of a emerging leader that is prepared to handle complex challenges and find solutions problems, adding that without sound and disciplined home training and upbringing he could not have achieved all that ,” and I must sincerely say, mama and papa both did a job.”

Alhaji Ugonoh maintained that the current economic policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are designed to give Nigeria a fresh breath , stressing that “all nations that achieved and economic stability have passed through these processes at one point or the other and Nigeria is already exiting her worse days ,all we need is to remain hopeful and allow the completion of this process.

“The FCT for instance keeps wearing a new face , road infrastructure across the six geo-political zones are nearing completion including those abandoned by previous administrations , there is revolution in the communication sector , we are getting stronger in international relations and diplomacy ; the creative economy and many other sectors have picked and are moving fastly.

“These policies are not what you expect results the next day, but with commitment and political will, we will surely smile at the end of the day.”

He called on Nigerians to reflect on the gains of democracy and support the leadership of the APC .

He prayed God grants professor Nentawe the fortitude to bear the death of his mother , late Mrs lydia Nentawe and grant her soul eternal rest.
