The National Council of State (NCS) has granted pardon to no fewer than 175 prisoners.
It also approved the award of national honours to 958 persons.
Some of the awards would be conferred posthumously.
Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the National Council of State meeting held at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja today.
Gov Sani was joined at the briefing by his Imo State counterpart, Hope Uzodinma.
