According to DSP Mansir Hassan, the Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna State Police Command, only personnel on essential duties and those with valid election responsibilities will be exempt from these restrictions.
The police command urges residents to comply with this directive and conduct themselves peacefully, cooperating with security agencies to ensure a successful election.
The affected areas include Sabon Gari LGA, Zaria LGA, Chikun LGA, and Kajuru LGA. The announcement emphasizes that the purpose of the movement restrictions is to maintain law and order and prevent any disturbances.
The command stresses the importance of ensuring a smooth electoral process and maintaining a peaceful environment during the elections. Residents are encouraged to work together with security agencies to achieve these objectives.
