Security agencies and the management of Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda have jointly mapped out strategies capable of rescuing the six students who were abducted by the armed bandits early hours of last Wednesday at their rented accomodations outside the school campus.

A meeting convened by the Rector of the Kaura Polytechnic, Dr. Aminu Yusuf, was aimed at reviewing and assessing the current security structures of the school and to x-ray possible ways to secure the safe return of the abducted students, as well as ensuring the immediate relocation of students renting outside the campus for safety.

Speaking with newsmen shortly after the meeting, Dr. Yusuf said that the abduction occurred at Kaura Namoda federal low cost housing estate where some students rented their accommodations.

“Contrary to some claims especially on social media and bloggers that the students were abducted at the campus, this is not true, but the incident occurred at the rented house named ‘CHAT HOUSE’ which is located at the extreme end of an area very prone to forest.

“Our school campus is well secured with the stations of units of the troops of the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Mobile Police Force (MPF), the development which is too dangerous for any criminal to think of penetrating into to carry any evil’s mission”, Dr. Yusuf has informed.

The Rector further revealed that, there had never been such an incident for the past 43 years of the existence of the school, saying, “The first recorded kidnap case that occurred last Wednesday was outside the campus, and by the time the security agencies secured the safe return of the abducted students, they will find their accomodations in our spacious campus”.

He opined that the meeting has expressed satisfaction with the level of steps taken by the Joint Security Forces under the directive of the office of the National Security Adviser and the Minister of Education all in quest to rescue the abducted students.
