The member representing Takum, Ussa, and Donga Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Dr. Mark Bako Useni, has executed over 88 constituency projects and sponsored no fewer than ten bills within two years in the house.

Useni made the disclosure during a media parley held in Taraba State, where he provided updates on his legislative contributions and development initiatives across the three local government areas he represents.

Useni stated that over 88 constituency projects have either been completed or are ongoing in Takum, Ussa, and Donga LGAs. These projects range from the construction of classroom blocks to the provision of educational materials for schools across the constituency.

He further explained that some projects have been fully implemented, while others are still in progress, and reiterated his commitment to ensuring their completion.

A review of his bills reveals that they include the Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill, 2023, Federal University Teaching Hospital, Wukari (Establishment) Bill, 2023, Agricultural Council Act (Amendment) Bill, 2023 for the establishment of the Federal College of Fisheries and Aquatic Science in Kashimbilla, Takum LGA.

Others are the National Park Service Act (Amendment) Bill, 2024, Federal University Wukari (Establishment) Bill, 2024, National Senior Secondary Education Commission Act (Amendment) Bill, 2024, and National Mathematical Centre Act (Repeal and Re-enactment) Bill, 2024.

Useni also co-sponsored several notable legislative proposals alongside other lawmakers. These co-sponsored bills include a Constitutional amendment bill to set time-frames for the adjudication of civil and criminal cases at trial and appellate courts (HB 616),

Others were a bill for the establishment of gifted and talented centers across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, including one in Takum, and another Constitution Alteration Bill, 2024 addressing structural reforms.

He urged constituents to continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, expressing confidence that such support would help attract more dividends of democracy to the region.

“We must keep aligning with the centre if we want to benefit more. I’m doing my part, but your support for the President strengthens my hand in lobbying for more developmental projects,” he said.
