Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu has said that the problem of Nigeria is not only in the hands of politicians, rather the civil servants, technocrats contribute heavily to the problems.

Hon. Kalu stated this on Thursday during a courtesy call by the Platform Public Service Bootcamp attendees at the National Assembly, Abuja.

The lawmaker raised the need to bring in digitization into public service space where an auditing app can encourage accountability and productivity.

Hon. Kalu who acknowledged the youth as the energy of a nation observed that many young people do not understand the concept of public service which has always been misinterpreted as a mere means of lively hood.

He added that public service is more than a job but a commitment to the betterment of the society, a noble calling and above all, a duty that must be fulfilled to secure the nation.

The boot camp is a transformative journey that aims at reprogramming the mindset of Nigerian youths which aims to address inclusion and development of youths across all sectors.
