‎Benue Governor, Alia felicitates with Dele Alake at 70

‎Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia has congratulates the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Dele Alake, on the occasion of his 70th birthday.

‎The Governor in a message of felicitation to the Honourable Minister, described him as an accomplished journalist, administrator and public servant, whose contributions to Nigeria’s development continue to make an impact.

‎‎Tersoo Kula, the ‎Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Benue State conveyed this in a statement today.

‎He says the Honourable Minister has distinguished himself in every responsibility entrusted to him, bringing experience, discipline and a strong sense of duty to the task of nation building.

‎According to Governor Alia, “Your years in journalism and public communication, is a display of professional commitment and principled approach, and this has earned you respect within and beyond the media.

‎”Your transition into government has not diminished those qualities, but rather provided another platform for you to deploy your knowledge and experience in advancing public policy and effective governance.

‎”I commend you, Honourable Minister, for your efforts in repositioning Nigeria’s solid minerals sector as a major component of the nation’s economic diversification drive.”

‎The Governor stresses further that Alake’s stewardship in the sector has helped to draw greater attention to the enormous opportunities within Nigeria’s mineral resources and the need to develop them responsibly for the benefit of present and future generations.

‎While wishing the Minister a happy 70th birthday, Governor Alia prays to God to grant him continued good health, wisdom and strength to serve the country and humanity for many more years.
