The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Zamfara State Command and 1 Brigade of the Nigerian Army have strengthened their working relationship to intensify operations against terrorism in the state.
The interagency collaboration between the NSCDC and NA were revitalized during the vist of the newly posted commander, 1 Brigade, Col. J Umaru to the command headquarters in Gusau.
Speaking during the visit, Col. J Umaru in his remarks stated that he acknowledged the necessity to visit to intimate and establish a successful working correlation between the two agencies.
“Primarily, I am here to improve the existing bond between the NA and NSCDC, furthermore, I wish to request for a continuous collaboration, intelligence and synergy as sustained by my predecessors.” He concluded.
Responding, Zamfara State NSCDC Commandant Sani Mustapha, appreciated the profound gesture and reaffirmed security agencies must bond and cooperate to achieve success in the ongoing battle against insecurity in the state efficiently.
Commandant Mustapha assured the commander of continuous partnership, insisting, security agencies are to collaborate and complement each other in national assignments, noting he shall see to its betterment in Zamfara state.
In conclusion, the state commandant and the commander, exchanged plaques to symbolise the revitalized synergism between the two collaborating agencies.
