Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has said he has not annointed anybody as the flagbearer of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2027 governorship election in the state.
Governor Sule stated this at the monthly bi-annual Press Briefing in Lafia.
Speaking through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Peter Ahemba, Sule said his attention has been drawn to the activities of some aspirants who go about and inform the public that they are anointed by him.
He expressed dismay in view of the claims by some individuals who have been parading themselves as government candidates.
Governor Sule said “Nasarawa State Government hereby debunk this claims in it entirety”.
He emphasized that he still have more than 2 years to be able to bring about dividends of democracy to the people of the state.

I wish to categorically, deny the claims circulating in some quarters that the government has anointed sa successor”.
“A government has not make any pronouncement or taken any action indicating his preference for a particular individual as successor”.
Government Sule further explained that the choice of who become the next Governor of the State would be determined by the people through democratic process.
While urging the public to disregard the claims which he said are clearly designed to cause confusion Governor Sule maintained that he remains focused 9n delivering on his mandate for serving the people of the state to the best of his ability.
Governor Sule also said his administration is currently preoccupied with discharging his responsibility as Governor in bringing about the needed dividends of democracy through carefully designed policies and programs as manifesting in the massive infrastructure projects that are ongoing across the state.
