The Methodist Bishop of Nsukka/Eha-Amufu, the Rt Rev Dr John Eze, has in the spirit of the Yuletide, brought joy to commuters when he donated free fuel to motorbike riders in a community in Enugu state.
According to a statement, “In the spirit of Christmas, the Methodist Bishop of Nsukka has transformed the life of a Christian convert by donating half a million to Nnamami Samuel.
“This took place at Ikem in Isi-Uzo Local Government of Enugu state during the three days open air Crusade. The name of the recipient is Nnamami Samuel a native of Ikem who attended the crusade and thus gave his life to Christ after the ministration of God’s servant – Bishop John Eze.
“In a remarkable display of kindness and generosity, the Methodist Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. John Eze, today gave out free fuel to all bike riders in the community.
The Bishop’s gesture, which caught many by surprise, was aimed at alleviating the financial burden on commercial motorcyclists and bringing some relief to commuters.”
“I am thrilled to see the smile on the faces of these hardworking bike riders,” Bishop Eze said during the fuel giveaway. “As a church, we are committed to serving the community and making a positive impact on people’s lives,” he added.
“The free fuel giveaway, which took place at the Eha Amufu Motor Park, attracted hundreds of bike riders who were thrilled to receive the unexpected gift.”
“Thank you, Bishop Eze, for this wonderful gesture,” said one of the beneficiaries, Mr. Chukwuma Okoro. “This will go a long way in helping us to sustain our families.”
