The President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of Barbedos Group, an emerging business conglomerate in Nigeria, Alhaji Kashim Bukar Shettima has congratulated Alhaji Sani Zangon-Daura over the conferment of Honorary Doctorate Degree on him by Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Sokoto State.
Malam Muhammad Kaulaha, Chief Press Secretary to Katsina State Governor, Malam Umaru Dikko Radda made this known in a statement made available to Citizenship Daily on Friday in Katsina.
Kaulaha said that Zangon-Daura is a veteran journalist, former Minister of Agriculture and currently the Danmasanin Daura who made significant contributions that have positive effects to the lives of his immediate community and the country in general.
He said that the prestigious award was be conferred on Zangon-Daura during the University’s combined convocation Ceremony slated for Monday, April 15th to Saturday, April 20th, 2024.
He explained that Zangon-Daura would be conferred with the honorary degree of Doctor of Science (D.Sc), Honoris Causa, by the University Senate.
According to him, the esteemed recognition was endorsed by the Honourable Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mammam in view of Zango’s positive contributions to humanity and his achievements.
Shettima said that Zangon- Daura is worthy of the conferment in view of his exemplary leadership, dedication, and service to humanity.
“Zangon– Daura made excellent and invaluable contributions to agricultural and economic sector which have lasting impact on the nation”
