From Joseph Uchenna, in Makurdi
Leaders at all levels have been advised to have conscience as well as be sensitive to the plight of the led.
Founder of Faith Women Fellowship International Ministry Evang Lydia Idoko who gave this advice while speaking to journalists in Makurdi, Benue State capital during the annual Thanksgiving of the Ministry reminded leaders that they are appointed by God and must always listen to God so as to better the lives of the people.
She also said that leadership is temporary hence, they should think what to do so that when they leave the position, they have a testimony.
She said, “to our leaders, they should know that it is God that appoint leaders. We pray that our leaders will listen to God. They should have conscience knowing that nothing last forever. We pray that they will be sensitive to the plight of the people they lead”.
Evang Idoko explained that the annual Thanksgiving is meant to appreciate God for all His done for us in the year and how we have been faithful to him, maintaining that we must build our spirit mind and character so that we maybe able to be God like.
Hear her, “the theme for the thanksgiving is ‘Blessed Beyond Measure’. God has created us to have dominion over the universe and everything He has created. We cannot have this dominion if we are not right with God. The most important thing in life is having the right mind and connection with God.
“The program is a personal reflection for our members to look at the improvement in their witnesses.
My advice to the body of Christ is this, whatever is worth doing, is worth doing well. They should teach the doctrine of the Bible and Christ. The purpose of the gospel is to save people, restore hope and remove people from shame.
“The body of Christ should focus on Christ and not self. We should give God glory in whatever we do. We should make the world to be fascinated about Christianity”.
