In a show of unity and teamwork, the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Zone B Headquarters participated in a Tug of War competition held on May 30th at the Air Training Command of the Nigerian Air Force in Kaduna.
This information was shared in a statement signed by the Zonal Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Customs Dikko Magaji, and made available to the media.
The event was part of the closing ceremony for the 2025 Headquarters’ Air Training Command Intra-Command Sports Competition and brought together various security and paramilitary agencies.
The NCS Zone B team, led by Assistant Comptroller Muhammad Aliyu, competed alongside teams from the Nigeria Police Force, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and the Department of State Services (DSS).
Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) Adekunle Oloyede, the Zonal Coordinator of NCS Zone B, attended as a special guest. He emphasized that the Tug of War contest symbolized unity and teamwork among the nation’s security stakeholders and highlighted the event’s significance in promoting camaraderie alongside other athletic competitions.
In his closing remarks, the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) of the Air Training Command, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Ahmed Yusuf Dari, congratulated all the winners and encouraged those who did not win to put in more effort, noting that “tomorrow is another day.”
He also prayed for the safe return of all attendees and expressed gratitude to the participating paramilitary agencies, acknowledging that their involvement added excitement to the event.
