The Made in Nigeria Special Project Office has on Friday partnered with the Taraba State Youth Development Agency to empower young entrepreneurs and drive economic growth in the state.
The State Coordinator of the Made in Nigeria Special Project, Hon. Justin Tyopuusu, made this known during a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Taraba State Youth Development Agency, Mr. Gara.
According Justin, the partnership was aims to promote local production, stimulate entrepreneurship, and expand non-oil economic opportunities.
He described the visit as strengthening institutional collaboration to drive youth empowerment and economic growth in Taraba State.
Justin noted that the Made in Nigeria Project is an initiative of the Federal Government under the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, stressed that the project was established to promote indigenous production, strengthen local industries, stimulate entrepreneurship, and expand Nigeria’s non-oil export potential.
He reiterated the project’s commitment to empowering Nigerians, especially young people, to produce, innovate, and compete effectively in both local and international markets, emphasized that the project is about building a resilient, production-driven national economy.
“The partnership will focus on identifying and supporting young entrepreneurs in manufacturing and agro-processing. It will also facilitate training and capacity-building programs, connect youth-led businesses to markets and investment opportunities, and promote innovation and local content development.
“The Made in Nigeria Project is expected to reduce unemployment, strengthen social stability, and drive sustainable economic growth in Taraba State. The project is timely, given Nigeria’s overdependence on oil revenue and the need to diversify the economy,” he said.
The Chairman of the Taraba State Youth Development Agency, Mr. Gara, pledged the Agency’s full support for the Made in Nigeria Project, and assured that the doors of the Agency remain open to ensure the success of the programme in Taraba State.
