From Femi Mustapha, in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority (KADCHMA) concluded 2025 by successfully enrolling and capturing the biometric data of 2,500 beneficiaries from the informal sector across the state in December.

In an exclusive interview with journalists in Kaduna, the Director-General of KADCHMA, Mallam Abubakar Hassan, praised the leadership and administrative strategies of His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, which have revitalized the state’s healthcare facilities. This initiative has significantly improved healthcare service delivery for all residents.

Mallam Abubakar Hassan highlighted the Authority’s substantial progress in advocacy, sensitization, and raising awareness through collaboration with traditional and religious leaders, media outlets, social media platforms, and other communication channels. He noted that these sustained efforts played a crucial role in achieving the impressive enrollment figures at the end of the year.

He explained that the total enrollment was made possible through the generous support of charitable foundations, philanthropists, organizations, families, and individuals. The breakdown of enrollees includes:

– RIM Foundation – 800 beneficiaries
– Jennifer Etuh Foundation – 1,000 beneficiaries
– New City Hospital, Zaria – 100 beneficiaries
– Lifidin Jama’a Charity Foundation – 120 beneficiaries
– Caleb Danladi Foundation – 300 beneficiaries
– Direct enrollment at the KADCHMA office (individuals and families) – 180 beneficiaries

The Director-General expressed immense gratitude to all the charity foundations, philanthropists, organizations, families, and individuals who have placed their trust in the Kaduna State Health Insurance Scheme.

He reaffirmed that KADCHMA remains open to partnerships with philanthropists, groups, organizations, and individuals dedicated to improving the health of the people throughout the state.

Mallam Abubakar Hassan further urged political leaders and wealthy individuals in Kaduna State to emulate these charitable efforts by supporting healthcare initiatives that provide relief and comfort to underserved members of society.

He emphasized that KADCHMA’s core mission is to ensure that no resident of Kaduna State is left behind in accessing affordable, quality, and sustainable healthcare services.
