By Abubakar Abdullahi, Lafia
The Senator representing Nasarawa West Ahmed Aliyu Wadada has hinted of his plans to officially join the All Progressives Congress (APC) soon.
Senator Wadada made this known at a reception organized by the Special Adviser to Gov. Abdullahi Sule on Information, Communication and Technology(ICT) Danlami Lawal Moro in Moro, Kokona LGA.
Wadada who won his Senate seat on the platform of Social Democratic Party (SDP) cleared the air on his plan to return to the APC, saying that very soon he will return to  the ruling APC in the State.
“I have left the party in 2023 due to some  reasons but now, I have concluded plans to return.
“I am one of the founding fathers of CPC and a member of PDP faction that formed coalition that gave birth to the APC. Nobody is more APC than myself,” he said.
“I’m hopeful of getting the ticket at the primary and wining the general election.
“None of the aspirants posseses my qualities, they all came and met me as someone who has been struggling for the position of Governor,” he added.
For his part, the Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Danladi Jatau called on the people of Kokona LG and the State at large to continue to live in peace and unity with one another irrespective of their political, ethnic and religious differences for development to continue to thrive.
He also drummed support for the administration of Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed and for the ruling All Progressives Congress APC to get more stronger ahead of future elections.
Jatau, who is the Chairman of the occasion emphasized on the importance of peace and unity to the progress and development of the locality and the State at large.
“Why I always preach peace is that without peace and unity, there will be no development” he said.
The Speaker appreciated the organiser of the occasion, saying the event would promote unity among the people of the area.
In a related development, the Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State,  Aliyu Bello, appealed to politicians seeking for Governorship positions in the State to thread with caution in order not to allow their personal ambitions to affect the unity and stability of the party and the State.
Bello informed aspirants to seek for people’s mandates, saying leadership comes from  God who gives power to whomever he wants through people’s mandates.
” Election is coming, destiny is greater than ambition, we are loyal to the leadership of the party, and waiting patiently to hear from the leader of the party, who is the Governor, Engr. A A Sule to give us direction,” he said.
