The Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has visited Sayaya village in Matazu Local Government Area following the recent bandits’ attack in the community.
This was contained in a press statement by Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the governor, Malam Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed issued to Citizenship Daily in Katsina on Tuesday.
Mohammed said that the assailants reportedly invaded the area and ambushed the police station where a policeman lost his life when the victim was rushed to the Primary Health Care Centre while properties worth millions of naira were carted by the hoodlums.
He said during the sympathy visit, governor Radda inspected the affected facilities which include the Primary Health Care Centre and shops with a view to assessing the extent of damages.
The governor also met with the residents and commiserated with them over the unfortunate incident.
The Governor also sympathized with the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) and officers of the command over the death of the policeman and extended his heartfelt sympathies to the families affected victims.
Governor Radda further directed deployment of more security operatives to reinforce security of lives and property in the area.
