Alhaji Isa Miqdad AD Saude, Senior Special Assistant (SSA), on Digital Media to Katsina Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has joined the race for Chairmanship of Katsina Local Government Council of Katsina State
A statement issued to Citizenship Daily in Katsina said that Alhaji AD Saude , has formally declared his intention to contest for the seat of Chairmanship of Katsina Local Government in the upcoming local government elections after wide consultation with friends, close associates and relevant stakeholders across the local government area.
The Contestant made this known while submitting his letter of intent to the Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Katsina local government, Alhaji Mustapha Musa Kofar Bai, at the party office in Katsina on Friday
The Aspirant expressed optimism to rejuvenate the local Government and put the council in a strong pedestal if elected as council chairman.
He expressed his ability to lead his people without fear or favour with a view to taking the local government to the greatest height.
He said “Despite my youthful age of thirty-two, (32), politics is not a do-or-die affairs, i appealed for support and prayers for guidance to achieve my noble ambition”
He further reiterated his readiness to extend his support to the final APC flag bearer, emphasizing his loyalty to the ruling party and pledged to introduce policies and programs aimed at revitalizing the local government if entrusted with the people’s mandate.
Meanwhile, after submitting his form of intent, the APC chairman of Wakilin Kudu II, Mallam Gambo Agaji, and a member of the AD Saude family, Mallam Muhammadu Rumbun-Hatsi, spoke highly of Isah Miqdad AD Saude’s qualifications and potential to lead Katsina Local Government to prosperity.
They expressed confidence that he will provide the needed dividends of democracy to the people of the local Government if their candidate emerged as chairman.
In response, the APC chairman of Katsina Local Government, Alhaji Mustapha Kofar Bai reaffirmed that the chairmanship seat of Katsina Local Government remained opened to all card-carrying members willing to contest.
He commended Isah Miqdad for his unwavering commitment and exemplary performance in the current assignment given to him by Governor Dikko Umaru Radda.
