Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State, on Friday, charged the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 corps members posted to serve in the state to be ambassadors of hope and change.
The governor emphasized the importance of the corps members’ role in driving positive change and inspiring hope in their host communities during the service year.
He stated this during the swearing-in of the 2025 batch ‘B’ stream 1 orientation ceremony held at the permanent orientation camp in Arodo-Kola Local government area. The governor urged the corps members to take their service seriously and make a positive impact in their communities.
Represented by the Secretary to the government of the State (SGS), Chief Barr Gibon Timothy Kattaps, Kefas noted that his vision for Taraba State is centered around promoting development and improving the lives of residents, even as he is emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in driving positive change.
“As ambassadors of hope and change, you have a critical role to play in shaping the future of our state, I charge you to be agents of positive change and to inspire hope in your host communities you serve.”
“I believe that you have the potential to make a significant impact in your communities, I urge you to take ownership of your service and make a positive difference in the lives of the people you serve.”
Speaking earlier, Taraba State NYSC coordinator, Mr Ella Aji Williams urge them to exhibits great measure of dedication, enthusiasm, and responsibility.
“My dear beloved Corps Members, the
Orientation Camp is a regimented
environment, and our watchword is
discipline. I therefore most humbly charge you at this point to endeavor to be good ambassadors of the NYSC Scheme by avoiding any acts that will tarnish the image of the NYSC. Note also that we have zero tolerance 2025 BATCH B STREAM 1 Members found culpable in such acts shall be dealt with appropriately.
“As you begin the journey to National Service, I urge you to exhibits great measure of dedication, enthusiasm, and responsibility, for it is through collective efforts and collaboration that you can truly contribute your quota to the accelerated Development of our dear country Nigeria,” he said.
