The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, has sworn in former assembly speaker, Rt. Hon. Josiah Sabo Kente, as his Special Adviser on Political Matters.
Governor Kefas also swore-in 16 newly appointed Permanent Secretaries.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Exco Chamber Government House, Jalingo, on Thursday.
Governor Agbu Kefas emphasized the crucial role of the appointees in governance, stressing the need for integrity, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to their responsibilities.
The Governor charged the Permanent Secretaries to exceed expectations, highlighting that their decisions and actions would significantly impact the people of the State.
Kefas reiterated the key priorities of his administration, emphasizing good governance, service delivery, teamwork, professionalism, and exemplary conduct among others.
The Governor emphasized the pivotal role of the appointees in propelling the state forward across all sectors, emphasizing that their leadership is indispensable in realizing the vision for progress.
He further underscored that leadership is defined by impact, not titles, urging the appointees to cultivate a spirit of service and humility in their respective ministries and to collaborate effectively with their teams.
Responding, the Special Adviser to Governor Agbu Kefas on Political Matters, Rt Hon Josiah Sabo Kente, pledged to uphold the trust placed in them, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the state’s development and committing to serving with integrity.
Sabo Kente affirmed their alignment with the Governor’s inclusive governance policy to achieve the ambitious objectives of the Kefas administration’s moving forward agenda.
The appointees took their Oath of office and allegiance administered by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Filibus Joel Agya.
