The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, late Tuesday evening, approved the appointment of the Taraba State correspondent of The PUNCH Newspaper, Mr. Justin Tyopuusu and the Daily Independent reporter, Mrs. Janet Audu as Special Advisers.
This was contained in a Press Release issued by the Secretary to the government of the State, Chief Barrister Gebon Timothy Kataps in Jalingo.
Mr. Justin Tyopuusu and Hon Janet Audu who are currently members of the correspondents’ Chapel in the Taraba State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) are expected to bring on board their professional expertise in the administration of Governor Kefas.
Tyopuusu who hails from Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State began his journalism career with National Accord Newspaper in Abuja in 2010 and joined the services of Nigeria Sunrise Newspaper in 2011 and resigned in 2014 to Joined National Mirror Newspaper.
He left National Mirror and joined PUNCH Newspaper in September 2017 where he helped to improve the visibility of the newspaper in the state and beyond.
Tyopuusu, a prolific writer and public speaker holds a B.Sc and Masters degree in Mass Communication and is currently a PhD candidate in the department of Mass Communication, Taraba State University, Jalingo.
