Governor Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State, on Wednesday commissioned the remodeled Taraba  State House of Assembly ultramodern complex Jalingo.
Citizenship Daily reports that governor Agbu Kefas had earlier in July 2023, awarded contract for the remodeling of the State Assembly complex for better legislation of policies that would bring transformation of Taraba and her citizens.
Fintiri, while commending Governor Kefas for his passion towards transforming Taraba, expressed that the idea to rebuild the state assembly complex was a testament that the  governor was poised to create synergy with the legislature, hence the need for good legislation and governance.
The Adamawa governor expressed hope that the harmonious working relationship between governor Kefas and the Taraba lawmakers will enhance speedy development of the State.
According to him, democracy was beyond the usual act of elections, as leaders were required to imbibe the culture of service delivery to the people.
“Democracy is beyond the usual act of elections. Leaders are to imbibe the culture of service delivery to the people.
“For democracy to thrive, power must not only be separated but each organ must be respected and supported for development.
“The idea to rebuild the state assembly complex is a testament that governor Kefas is poised to creating synergy with the legislature for good legislation and governance, to attract development in Taraba. The Harmonia working relationship between governor Kefas and the lawmakers here is a demand for speedy development of the State” Fintiri noted.
Earlier, Hon. Kizito Bonzeana, the Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, commended governor Kefas for his administration’s transformative services  so far.
The speaker disclosed that the project was a moral booster for lawmakers in the house to legislate for a better State of Taraba and her citizens.
