The Funtua Unity Foundation has expressed concern over the lingering insecurity in Funtua metropolis.
Its Chairman, Comrade Mannir Mohammed Sulaiman conveyed this in a statement made available to the Citizenship Daily on Friday in Katsina.

According to the foundation through the chairman stated that the level of banditry attacks in Funtua township has reached an alarming rate which is unacceptable.
Sulaiman said the banditry attacks in the last few weeks left several people injured, many feared dead and many cattle rustled.
While appreciating the efforts of security agents and stakeholders in containing the menace in Funtua, Sulaiman appealed to Katsina State governor, Malam Dikko Umar Radda to provide more emergency surveillance in the area with a view to protecting lives and properties of the people.
The Chairman also urged all critical stakeholders in Funtua to make subterranean arrangement to secure Funtua and it’s environs.
“As the general elections is fast approaching, I appeal to politicians in the area to work hand in hand with relevant security agents to nip the ugly trends on bud” Sulaiman said.
Comrade Sulaiman further urged religious groups to intensify prayers for divine interventions for the safety of the inhabitants.
