From Godwin Agia, in Jalingo

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Thursday commissioned the African Democratic Congress (ADC) state secretariat in Jalingo, Taraba State, where he declared the party as the only viable alternative for Nigerians in 2027.

Atiku, who was received warmly by party faithful, lamented the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has failed Nigerians, noting that the government’s main achievement has been insecurity.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Atiku urged youths to register for voter cards, emphasizing that without participation, change remains impossible.
“The present administration has deceived Nigerians, plunging the country into hunger, poverty, joblessness, and lack of peace.
“ADC is the only option for Nigeria; it is time to change the narrative,” he said.
Atiku, accompanied by party supporters from Adamawa, Bauchi, and Kano, reiterated that ADC will defeat other parties in the 2027 general elections.
Earlier in his remarks, Taraba State chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hassan Adamu, also said that the party is poised to win the state in the next election.
“In 2027, a new government will be formed under ADC, and we will deliver Taraba State to Atiku,” he said.
Citizenship Daily reports that the commissioning of the secretariat marks a significant milestone for ADC in Taraba State, as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.
