From Femi Mustapha, in Kaduna
The Estu Nupe, Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Abubakar, and the Emir of Zazzau, Amb Ahmed Nuhu Bamali, have separately expressed

support for the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede in his fight against the menace of economic and financial crimes and other acts of corruption.
This was contained in a statement made available to the media today (Sunday).
The statement said that the Royal Fathers expressed their support separately on May 7, 2024, and, May 13, 2024, while playing hosts to Acting Zonal Director, Kaduna Zonal Command, Dr. Benedict Ubi, and his team while on courtesy visits to the two Emirates.
Both the Estu of Nupe and Emir of Zazzau charged the entire team of the EFCC to always put the fear of God in their minds in the discharge of their duties, while acknowledging the good work the Commission is doing for the nation, saying they will not relent in putting in efforts to support the EFCC and other law enforcement agencies in stamping out corruption and other forms of criminalities.
Abubakar prayed for God’s guidance on the work the EFCC is doing and assured that the doors of the Niger Emirate will always be open to the Commission.
In his address, Bamali commended the EFCC for the transformation and changes the Commission has made professionally, especially about engagement with the public.
Earlier in his speech, Ubi thanked the two Emirates respectively, saying the EFCC needed the blessing of the traditional rulers in carrying out its assigned mandate and called on them to deepen their partnership with the Commission through the adequate promotion of ethics, values, and behavioral change among their subjects.
He further said that the anti-corruption drive was guided strictly by the rule of law, accountability, and transparency.
