From our correspondent, in Katsina

The Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has expressed gratitude to Allah for a peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration in Katsina State.

“We are thankful to Almighty Allah for giving us the opportunity to witness this day and for making this day a very peaceful day in our lives,” Radda said.

A statement by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Chief Press Secretary to the Katsina State Governor quoted the governor as saying specifically that the State witnessed improved security during the holy month of Ramadan.

Governor Radda made the remark while addressing newsmen shortly after the Eid-el-Fitrl-Fitr prayer led by Imam Adam Husein at Batagarawa Low-cost in the State capital.

While expressing his appreciation to Katsina residents, Governor Radda attributed the relative peace enjoyed in the state during the holy months to their prayers. He urged them not to relent.

“We are grateful to Almighty Allah for giving us the opportunity to witness this peaceful Eid al-Fitr. We want to thank the Katsina people for their prayers for peace and prosperity for our state.

“Indeed we are grateful, for it has been answered by the Almighty Allah. We have seen a lot of improvement in the area of security of life and property in the state,” Governor Radda said.

In the same vein, the Katsina Governor extended his Eid greetings to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all Muslims in Nigeria, praying for continued peace for the nation.

Governor Radda at the Batagarawa Low-cost Eid Ground was joined by his Deputy, Faruq Lawal Jobe, Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari, the Chief of Staff, members of the state executive council, alongside other government officials.
