From Femi Mustapha, in Kaduna

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has appointed Mr. Ben Solomon Dalhatu Kure as the new Managing Director of Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC).

The appointment comes after the previous Managing Director, Ahmed Maiyaki, was appointed as the Commissioner for Information in the state.

This was contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Uba Sani, Mallam Ibraheem Musa made available to the media in Kaduna today, Sunday.

Mr. Kure is a seasoned public communication expert and political strategist with a wealth of experience in various fields, including public service and banking.

His impressive background includes serving as Chairman of Jaba Local Government from 2016 to 2017, Executive Secretary of Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency from 2018 to 2019, and Special Adviser (Political Matters) to the Kaduna State Governor from 2019 to 2021. He has also worked with prominent banks such as Oceanic Bank PLC/ECOBANK Nigeria PLC, Zenith Bank PLC, and Broad Bank.

Mr. Kure holds a Master’s degree in Conflict, Peace and Strategic Studies and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Geography and Planning. He is a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and a Member of The Institute of Management Consultants (MIMC).

Governor Uba Sani expects Mr. Kure to build on the excellent work of his predecessor, Ahmed Maiyaki, who transformed the media corporation into a strategic vehicle for effective public information dissemination and management. The governor congratulated Mr. Kure on his appointment and wished him God’s guidance and protection.

This appointment is seen as a strategic move to further enhance the operations of KSMC and promote effective communication between the government and the people of Kaduna State. Mr. Kure’s wealth of experience and expertise are expected to be invaluable assets to the corporation.
