The General Manager of the Citizenship Media Limited, publishers of Citizenship Daily and Citizenship Weekend Newspapers, Dr. Saidu Abubakar, has been conferred with the traditional title of Tafidan Illo in Kebbi State.
The honour was conferred on Dr Abubakar by his Royal Highness, Alh Muhammadu Wankwai, the District Head of Illo.
While noting the various contributions made by Dr. Saidu Abubakar to the development of the District, His Royal Highness encouraged the new Tafida to do his best to discharge the new responsibility placed on him.
The Royal Father also prayed the Almighty Allah to give the new Tafida wisdom and good health in discharging his new task.
Dr. Saidu Abubakar, Chairman of the Executive Council of Kebbi Development Forum, is also the Registrar of Ameer Shehu Idris College of Education, Zaria, and the Chairman Kubwa III Badminton Club Board of Trustees.
Abubakar is an accomplished academic, a banker and a management consultant who had served as a consultant to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, among many of his numerous accomplishments.
Already, the management of Citizenship Media Limited has congratulated the new Tafida and wished him Allah’s guidance in carrying out his new role.
