The Hisbah Command of the Bauchi State Shariah Commission has arrested a 76 year old man identified as Bala Muhammad  who appeared in multiple pictures with different women –allegedly his ex-girlfriends on social media.
Bala appeared in about 30 images with different women showing the cleavages of the mostly busty middle-aged ladies, which caused worry and uproar among married men and women, including relatives of Bala and those of the women that appeared in his pictures.
The images have sparked reactions on social media platforms with many urging married men in Bauchi to guard their wives against the likes of Bala Muhammad.
The state Shariah Commissioner in charge of Hisbah, Bartister Aminu Balarabe Isah said that the Commission has received several complaints against the man from the families of the women and his relatives and the commission went to arrest him in his House to investigate the matter but they didnt get him.
“He was arrested by the Police, when we needed to interrogate him, we requested the Police to release him to us for our investigation and police released him to us and after we finished our investigation we will take him back to the Police,” Balarabe said.
In an intetview with newsmen in Bauchi, Bala Muhammad confirmed the trending images, saying that the pictures were taken between six to 20 years ago when most of the ladies were unmarried. He sought forgiveness from the women and their respective families.
The 76 years old man who said he is unmarried throughout his life and has no children, added that he is from Dass Local Government Area of Bauchi State but resides in the state capital.
He said that his brother drew his attention to the online pictures with his ladies before he was arrested and brought to Hisbah.
Bala said he retired from the Bauchi State Civil Service as a Director of Administration and he put the ladies pictures on social media just for pleasure because they were his old friends who visited him in his house and the pictures were taken in his house and the women came from within and outside the state.
