Super Eagles icon Ahmed Musa is on the brink of making a sensational comeback to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and is turning to his fans for help in making the decision.
The 31-year-old forward, who has been without a club since departing Turkish side Sivasspor in February 2024, has invited Nigerian football fans to choose his next destination in the NPFL.
Taking to social media, Ahmed Musa posted, “Let’s go again. Which of these teams do you wish for me to sign?” on his X (formerly Twitter) account, signaling his intention to rejoin the domestic league. This move has sparked excitement among his followers, eager to see where the Nigerian legend will land next.
Despite his age, Musa remains committed to continuing his football journey, saying that retirement is not yet on the cards. The Super Eagles’ all-time leading scorer at the FIFA World Cup, with four goals, was part of the squad that reached the final of AFCON 2023 in Côte d’Ivoire, although he didn’t feature during the tournament.
This wouldn’t be the first time Musa has returned to the NPFL. In 2021, he briefly rejoined his boyhood club Kano Pillars in what many described as a heartwarming homecoming.
