The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has expressed shock and deep sorrow at the passing of Chief Audu Ogbeh, a former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party and ex-minister.
In a statement from National Publicity Secretary, Prof. Tukur Muhammad-Baba, the ACF recognized Ogbeh as a dedicated nationalist and a pivotal figure in Arewa, whose unwavering commitment to public service was exemplary.
Ogbeh distinguished himself as one of Nigeria’s largest and most influential farmers and served effectively as a three-time federal minister and a former Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly.
His achievements were acknowledged with the prestigious national title of Officer of the Federal Republic. Furthermore, he played a crucial role in the ACF, chairing its National Executive Council from 2020 to 2023, and was actively engaged in the planning of the organization’s 25th anniversary up until his untimely death.
The ACF lauded Ogbeh’s remarkable contributions to politics, agriculture, and national unity, firmly affirming his integrity and relentless dedication to service.
The organization extends its heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Nigeria, the citizens of Benue State, and Ogbeh’s family and friends during this moment of profound loss, insisting upon the need for recognition of his legacy and a commitment to honor his memory.
