From Femi Mustapha, in Kaduna

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has reminded political officeholders that their primary focus must be on the citizens of Kaduna State, as they are public servants.

The interests of the people are paramount, he told them.

The Governor delivered this message after swearing in the newly appointed Commissioner of Education, Professor Abubakar Sani Sambo, Commissioner of Youth Development, Barrister Gloria Ibrahim, Head of Service Mrs. Jummai Bako, and other senior government officials.

Governor Sani challenged them to help the administration leave a lasting legacy by thinking creatively while still being mindful of established frameworks.

He encouraged the new political appointees to “roll up your sleeves and hit the ground running,” emphasizing that they have been called to serve the people of Kaduna State because they possess the necessary skills and competencies to contribute effectively to the rebuilding and renewal of the state.

He said that success can be achieved through teamwork, urging them to avoid working in isolation. “If we operate independently with limited communication or collaboration, our success will be hindered,” he warned.

According to the Governor, the administration has rapidly transformed both rural and urban communities through extensive infrastructure development and the revival of the health and educational sectors. Over the last two years, the government has actively fought poverty and strengthened partnerships with security forces to ensure the safety and security of the state.

Other appointees sworn in include Hon. Ado Dogo Audu, Counselor on Political Matters; Special Adviser on Economic Matters, Ahmad Shehu Haruna; Special Adviser on Political Affairs, Hon. Abubakar Shehu Giwa; and Special Adviser on Local Government Affairs, Hon. Kabiru Yakubu Jarimi.
