A Nigerian Soldier, David Itodo, who is battling with a spinal cord injury, has cried out to Nigerians for help.

Itodo has been at 44 Reference Hospital Kaduna since December 2020, after he was diagnosed with spinal cord injury.
While many Nigerian youths in their 30s are already raising their children and meeting other life obligations, David Itodo, in his 30s, has been sitting in one spot for the past 5 years due to a spinal cord injury.

Itodo could not speak to the media since he is still in the service. A source who pleaded anonymity told the media that Itodo’s ordeal started in September 2020 when he had an accident in Abia State while carrying out his assignment as a Nigerian Soldier.

He said, “Itodo has been in 44 Reference Hospital since December 8, 2020”.

He said, “Itodo needs to do Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), he needs a wheelchair, and he also needs financial assistance for him to get better.”
According to the Source, Itodo’s salary cannot afford to buy his medication, and that he needs help to live.

“He believes with the support of well-meaning Nigerians, government, stakeholders, hospitals, and non-governmental organizations; he can still live the life of his dream.”

His body is fixated as his nerves and other sensory organs are no longer responding to stimuli the way they should.

For those who would like to be that shining light for him through sponsorship of his treatment or other support geared towards putting David Itodo back on his feet, he can be reached at 08104628866.
