INEC promotes 1,731 staff, reinforces commitment to career development

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has approved the promotion of One Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty-One (1,731) members of staff who excelled in the 2024 promotion examinations.
This was confirmed in a bulletin issued by the commission on Tuesday in Abuja.
This achievement, according to the bulletin, marked another milestone that underscores the Commission’s unwavering commitment to enhancing staff welfare and supporting career progression.
A detailed breakdown of the promotions reveals that: Fifty-nine (59) Deputy Directors (Grade Level 16) have been elevated to the rank of Director (Grade Level 17)
One Hundred and Sixty-Eight (168) Assistant Directors (Grade Level 15) were promoted to the rank of Deputy Director (Grade Level 16).
One Hundred and Sixty-Seven (167) Chiefs (Grade Level 14) advanced to the position of Assistant Director (Grade Level 15).
Additionally, One Thousand Three Hundred and Thirty -Seven (1,337) Officers between Grade Levels 7 and 13 were found deserving and promoted accordingly.
According to the bulletin, “This achievement highlights INEC’s steadfast commitment to staff development, motivation and continuous self-improvement. The Commission remains dedicated to maintaining a tradition of annual promotions aimed at boosting staff morale and driving organizational productivity.
“INEC reiterates its commitment to fostering a supportive work environment that recognizes and rewards hard work, diligence, competence and professional growth. This dedication ensures a motivated workforce capable of delivering on the Commission’s mandate of conducting credible elections”, it added.
